On January 31, Coast Guard members heard barking and scratching while routinely inspecting containers at the Bayport Container Terminal in Seabrook, Texas. They were directed to a container by the sounds andnbsp, where they discovered an eight-day-old dog that had been trapped.
The crew jumped into action, saving the puppy, feeding and bathing her, and giving her the nickname Connie the Container Dog.
In order for Connie to gain weight, she was taken to  , an animal rescue.
