The optional KB5034843 Preview cumulative update for Windows 10 22H2 includes eight updates to the sharing experience and eight other adjustments.

This is primarily a maintenance release for Windows 10, like all new Windows 10 updates, with the majority of the fixes involving enterprise services like Azure, Remote Desktop, and Windows Hello for Business.

This cumulative update preview for KB5034843 was included in Microsoft’s “optional non-security preview release,” which was made available on the last Tuesday of each month. Windows administrators can test upcoming fixes and features that will be included in the upcoming March Patch Tuesday requirement.

Security updates are absent from the preview updates, in contrast to the cumulative updates for Patch Tuesday. &nbsp,

What’s new in KB5034843 for Windows 10?

Microsoft has made nine&nbsp, fixes, and changes available for Windows 10 with this update.

In the&nbsp, KB5034843, update, the highlighted fixes and new features are:

  • Now that you can share URLs with apps like WhatsApp, Gmail, Facebook, and LinkedIn using Windows Share, you can share them directly. Soon, X ( previously Twitter ) will be sharing.

  • Games installed on a secondary drive may be affected by this update. They continue to be installed on the drive right now.

  • The Windows Backup app is affected by this update. In areas where the app is not used, it will no longer appear on the user interface. See&nbsp, KB5032038 for more information.

Additionally, Microsoft fixed two issues that affected Azure Virtual Desktop sessions.

Microsoft also continues to issue a warning about two long-standing bugs, where Copilot may cause icons to switch between different monitors. Currently, Copilot is only supported if your taskbar is vertically placed on either side of the screen.
