Users who reported experiencing” Out of memory” errors while browsing the web or accessing the browser settings reported Microsoft Edge 122. 0. 2365. 63 update.
Users soon reported across multiple websites that the browser was repeatedly crashing with memory errors after Microsoft  released Edge 122.0.2365.63  yesterday.
One of our readers, who claimed the issue affected Windows 10 and Windows 11, first alerted BleepingComputer to the problem yesterday.
Users have since reported the bug to be” This page is having a problem” or” Not enough memory to open this page” errors while browsing the web, with an error code of” Out of Memory” as a result.
” I recently updated to 122. 2365.63 ( Official build ) ( 64-bit ) and suddenly nbsp;nothing loads. This page is having a problem, this page is having a problem, and there is not enough memory to open it on any page, including the new tab page and settings. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?”,” reads a  and posts to Reddit.
Later, it was discovered that users had’Strict’ protection set up, and that the Enhanced Web Protection feature was to blame. Go to , Settings , >, Privacy, search, and services , and scroll down to” Enhance your security on the web” under Security. This feature can be managed.
Users would be able to browse the web normally after changing the setting to” Basic” or turning off the” Enabling your security on the web” feature altogether.
Some of the people who are affected, however, are unable to access the Settings page because they instead receive an Out of Memory error.
Since then, Microsoft has discontinued the Edge 122. 02365.63 update. The most recent update is 122. 02365.59.
Microsoft Edge Canary users reported the issue in recent builds, and this release is not the first time this bug has appeared. Canary 124.0.2434.0, which was released yesterday, was finally fixed by Microsoft, but it appears to have forgotten to stop the bug from entering the Stable channel.
